I'm back. From the land of no-internet.

That should explain the lack of blog entries. Besides the fact that I'm very very lazy to blog these days. My internet was dead. For a few days. I thought it wouldn't be back till next Tuesday, after new years.

It was dreadful. I would go to work and read almost half of a new book, then go home and finish reading it. I don't normally read, but since my internet was down, I was bored and left with nothing to do.

Oh yes. I almost forgot! I got a
Nintendo DS for X'mas! Along with Nintendogs: Daschund & Friends. It's a cool game, ok? It involves using the stylus, which I like. It involves using the stylus alot actually. I also got this 130 games in 1 cartridge too. Ever since I got the DS, I had been playing Pokemon Emerald hours on end. It's a classic game. I love it. One day, I woke up late, picked up the DS and started playing pokemon till late at night. Try playing Pokemon for 7 hours straight. It's very tiring. I don't even want to look at another pokemon again.

My mind is currently somewhere else right now, so please excuse me.

Before I forget,
happy new year!
I hope 2006 brings luck and fortune! [I don't like talking like this. Let's scrap that!]
Here's wishing the new year to be a more prosperous one! [Like Macca's prosperity burger? SCRAP IT.]
Hope the new year rocks, man.

Before I close this final entry of the year 2005, I want to thank everyone (readers, my peeps back here in M'sia, my peeps back there in Sydney, the rest of my other friends around the world, my parents, my family) for contributing in making my year a bomb. If you know you didn't contribute, you should feel guilty for thinking I was directing this thanks to you! Waha! You won't sleep now! Anyway. Ahem. U
THANK YO, everyone. Especially to you, my dear readers, for reading my scribbles. Thanks. Thanks. THANKS.

Dudes,
this one is for you :)
Cheers, for all time's sake.

This Christmas eve was different. We didn't attend any fancyshmancy parties. We didn't host a 'fancyshmancy' party. We didn't cook any awesome christmas dishes.

Not only does the scenary look good,
the storm does too.

We sat home. Watching TV. Looking at the approaching storm from our balcony. Eating up the leftovers from the party the night before. Quite frankly, we haven't had an informal and calm christmas evening in a long while.

Lining up the presents.

While waiting for our clocks to strike at 12 in the morning, we sat around th TV watching Bicentennial Man and later when mum disappeared, Ri and I lined all the Christmas presents under the tree in a line. I came up with this stupid experiment idea the night before, thinking that there were enough presents under the tree to make a line from the tree to our front door!

Check out that curve!

Unfortunately, all the presents under the tree didn't make it to the end. It only made it half way, which was just fine. Just fine.

Finally, our clocks beeped 12 AM. Christmas had arrived! Riana started unwrapping before mum and I had finished sending our horde of SMS messages wishing friends and family a Merry Christmas.

I love unwrapping presents. It's another one of those things that keeps my innerchild as young as ever. There is no careful way to unwrap presents. You just can't avoid being messy or barbaric.

My gifts for this year's Christmas.

I received a glass horse statue from my grandmum; a Tom & Jerry magnetic memo holder from Ew-Jun; some Bodyshop perfume from Carol and her son, John; a book on "101 Things To Do Before You Die" from my cousins, Ji-Shen and Ji-Han; a Desperate Housewives: Behind Closed Doors book and a quote book of sisters from my sister, Riana; 50 ringgit from my aunty Keti and uncle Caesar; a copy of "My Sister's Keeper" by Jodi Piccoult (which was something we had talked about in my Christian Studies class last semester), from Dhivya and her family; a wrist cushion SLASH paper weight in the shape of a hippo with glow-in-the-dark stars, from Shaza; and finally, an 2GB iPod Nano plus casing from mum.

Dudes [mentioned above], if you're reading this,
thank you :)

I'm not being picky or selfish or whatever the word is, here, but out of all the gifts, the iPod Nano was such a knockout for me. It just proved that if you keep whining about something you want, there is a chance that you might get it in the end! It's a bad attitude, but... I love my mum.

My new iPod Nano

Have you seen how small it is? It's incredible! Compared to my 2 year old brick, it's ANT SIZE. It weights a FEATHER compared to my old iPod.

My new iPod Nano can sure put me
In The Mood at any time (pun intended 8D)

All this unwrapping of gifts still doesn't make Christmas my ultimate favourite day of the year. Christmas is still very stressful and tiring, what with buying presents and wrapping stuff. It's fun and colour and enjoyable, but it's not really my mug of milk and tray of biscuits, you know what I mean?

Again, let me wish you all a Merry, Merry Christmas. (Incoming: lame ending) Let's keep jingling all the way to the new year!

Cheers :)

This Christmas hype drives me crazy and not forgetting, tired.

Cheers.
PS. My uncle and his friends are over. It's just the six of us. The bass of the 70s music is humping the floor like a wild greyhound chasing the rabbit on a course. Horny bugger.
PSS. I want to sleep.

I forgot to show you.

My new 'media centre'. There lies (from the left)
Catch and Frank.

Catch's smexy cool key and dashboard.
Good ol' Frank at the back,
making a fuss.

My new 'media centre' set up! Isn't it awesome, regardless of how badly taken it was (I should've used flash or at least photoshopped it)? Ever since Catch came into our lives, I decided to set him up along side with Frank on my desk. Now I work with two babies laptops. I've decided to let Frank take the job of music DJ and Catch take the head's job. I've got a set of 2.1 Creative speakers which I plugged up to Frank. It's sweet. Now I can control music easily and the way I like it on a seperate laptop, and use the other as my main one.

My room has never looked cleaner! Everything is neatly tucked away, unlike before - books sprawled across my working desk; pens that work and don't work all bunched into two small pencil holders; books I want to read but don't touch in the end stacked, one after the other in a corner on my already busified desk. My room doesn't look like a 14-year-old's room anymore. I suppose the presentation of one's bedroom reflects themselves, don't you think so?

Today was my first day of work. Some might wonder: what the hell is this work? I used to think of an answer for that before. The experience is good. Working, I mean.

I was working at Moripin at the new Hartamas Shopping Centre. The centre is quite a dead and slow paced shopping place. Since it's new, I won't make so much of a fuss about how desolate it is. My mum's friend owns this litle jewellery and other knick-knacks shop, and my friend had been telling me about her job at the Fish&Co restaurant at Bangsar Village - from all that, I asked mum to get me a job at her friend's place. Bam. One week later, and today, it was my first day of work.

At first, I was going to turn the job opportunity down, because I would only be paid RM 4 an hour, which is about AUD$ 1.50. Talk about slavery! However, I was told that the low wage was typical and average wage for a young teenager working part-time in Malaysia. I was quite put off by it. In Sydney, I have friends working for AUD$ 9 an hour, which is approximately RM 27 AN HOUR. If I worked 5 hours a week in Sydney, I would receive AUD$ 135 a week! That is RM 378! Now that's what I'm talking about!

But whatever. I'm working now in KL for the experience and the skills. I'm hoping that they will help me get a job easier when I go back to Sydney. I also like to look at working as a chance for me to get off my ass and out of the apartment.

Cheers.
PS. One night I was too bored, so I stuck up some photographs on a section of one of my walls. They are photographs of the many fun times I've had with my friends from
St Caths. I miss you all ok? NOMMY. KWANKWAN. JUDYJUDEJUDE. And others, like MINTTT and otherothers, like MR POOLE, MR HEWS and NEVILLE. :)

I'm so sorry for no updating, if any of you were expecting an apology. I've been so busy and caught up in this so called christmas spirit of mine. Last week, Chris Dolling was over at our place and we had to be hosts for that period of time. It's tiring! Accomodating someone for a week! Not just physically, but mentally too.

For the past two days, Riana and I have been christmas shopping. Not for ourselves, unfortunately, but for other people. How kind, we are. From this, I can conclude that christmas can't be my favourite time of the year. It's painfully tiring. Shopping for people. Wrapping presents for people. Writing cards for people. Hosting a party to celebrate the special occasion with people.

I'm not disagreeing to the fact that Christmas is a FUN and ENJOYABLE time. I never resent the present exchanging part of the event. It's the hype. What's with the hype? What's with my hyper reaction to this one day thing? It's just the day that Jesus Christ was born.

NOW WAIT. Before the pro-christianity people start their rows with me, I am not insulting or criticizing the religion and the practices that follow it. Heck, this is my blog and I can blog about whatever I want. If you don't like it, it'd be best that you close this window now and never think about coming back again.

Anyway. I love Christmas. Don't get me wrong. I just need to receive some presents, find everything is fair and I'm good.

Cheers!

I need to prepare myself for the worse. It is inevitable. Alot of strong and sad emotions will overcome me soon and I need to prepare myself for all of it.

I was the person who gave great empathy and encouragement. Soon, I won't know what to do.

Cheers.
PS. I need to treat everyday as it were the last.

Christmas is here, and the spirit is spreading like a wildfire. I've got the spirit, and I'm expressing it in a great way.

I recently bought a pair of Converse All Stars. Mum said it's Christmas, the time of spoiling one's self. They looked so nice, I couldn't get over them after first sight! They're just so...

Anyway. Guess what else I got?

Damn right that's a laptop.

And it's a Toshiba. Toshiba M50-P346. Remember before, I had wished for one that had a seagreen top? This one is better than that, actually. Dad got it for me for christmas. How smexy-compy-orgasm is it? :D

I got a haircut too. It's no big deal. Just a snip, as usual.

Yesterday we spent the afternoon and evening at Low Yat Plaza and Petaling Street. LYP is a market like place that has stalls selling computer hardware, laptops and all of that sort. Petaling St is this long stretch of little shops selling fake things like handbags, watches and lots of little knick-knacks. It's a really big happening place. The key there is to bargain. I had never bargain in my life before, and for a first-timer, I must say I really enjoyed it! Bargaining is fun. You should all try it.

Of course, don't bargain at a shop that sells real goods. You'd probably be kicked out. Be assured of that.

I watched Harry Potter: Goblet of Fire and I thought it was quite a disappointment. I liked it, but, in my opinion, I thought it wasn't as good as the third movie. I enjoyed it, but I thought it wasn't as big-ass as I had heard and expected it to be. I was actually more excited about watching Narnia. It looks heaps better and it's something new!

Dear HP fans
I am so sorry.
Please do not shoot use your wand to
avada kadavra

Cheers.

I know you expected me to update much sooner, and I'm sorry for not keeping that word.

Malaysia has been just fine, for your information. It has turned out to be very good. The weather is fantastic, compared to Sydney's hot oven-like weather. The heat here is combined with humidity, which makes the experience so comfortable. Sydney is mad right now. Thankfully I'm not spending summer there.

Chris Dolling, a friend from the Gold Coast arrived today and is staying with us for a week. How unfortunate of him! He has to spend one whole week us. Wahaha!
Nah. I think it'll be great. We plan to do some touristish things. Gives me a chance to get out there and experience KL for what it really is, regardless of the bad reputation is has.

I must be honest with you, but I miss school and living in the boarding house. I am aware of what I am saying here, but it's true. I miss my friends, I miss that dodgy bed I slept in last term, I miss the people I saw everyday (well, maybe not everybody). I guess the main reason why I miss it alot is because I spend most of my year there, and I'm so used to how everything works there.

So, shoot me.

There's nothing I can really blog about right now. There's your update, Jude.

Cheers.

Our long awaited night had come yesterday. The feeling was brilliant. The year is finally over.

At the beginning of my schooling time at St Caths, this year, I was so very bummed out because I was homesick, unhappy and unable to fit in. Now, it is the day after our final day at school - and I feel just great. I actually don't want to leave.

When people ask me, 'are you looking forward to going home?', I say, 'Kind of.' It's true. I kind of am looking forward to going home. However, I am going to miss some parts of this school/boarding life at Sydney. I'm going to miss my friends (Nom, Kwan, Jude, Mint, Kathy etc.); some teachers (Mr Poole [who is leaving :( ], Mr Parkin); my room; the boarding atmosphere. Eventhough I've had my bad times at school and in the boarding house, I'm going to miss it. Very much, actually.

Last night was speech night. It was a long. Really long. Nom and I were playing in the combined Senior Orchestra and Concert Band. We were in the percussion section, of course. We messed up big time, and so did the rest of the band. But you know, it was fun and the thrill of playing at such a great event was awesome.

My flight is at 3.45pm.

I'll post some pictures of Speech Night and the rest of yesterday later when I arrive home. I'll be home by night, and tomorrow morning, I'm off to my old school for their speech day. Should be fun :)

Aurevoir!
Cheers.

December is finally here. I rejoiced a little on the morning of the 1st. Waking up in December is such a good feeling. A feeling of success of a long year, and it's time saying the year is almost over.

I'll be home in a matter of days (6 days). It's been so quick!

Today, the 2nd of December, was such a busy and tiring day. However, the end of this long day was great. Again, a feeling of happiness and completeness had come over me.

The school held it's Interhouse PC Competition. PC is when all the houses of the school create their own dance (choreographed by students). It's fantastic to watch all the houses come together and sweat it out on the dance floor. Especially when everything fits together. It's great!

My house, Bronte doing their sailor themed dance. Look at that syncronisation!

In the end, my house Bronte won. Hurray for Bronte House! We suck at all the sporting events, but we own all other things. I didn't dance, so I was sitting on the sidelines taking photographs and cheering. I had a bit of space for Bronte spirit that morning.

The rest of the day was pretty much, in one word, a bludge. We watched a movie in Science, and we managed to skip out of doing work during Life After School class.

Me and Kwan during recess.

Nommy in DT class. Model student with original work!

During lunch, all the musicians gathered together in the chapel for a meeting. We were to prepare for our grand performance at tonight's Family Evening & Carols Service. I was only playing in one band, and I was out of there for the day, but Nom suggested I pitch in for the percussion in the Senior Concert Band. Assuming the task would be simple, I agreed, and we talked to Ms Dunstan (the music coordinator for the band), who also happily agreed.

The Senior Concert Band were playing a mixture of Moulin Rouge songs (Nature Boy, Lady Marmalade, I'll Fly Away and Rhythm Of The Night). I was to play the auxiliary percussion, which included instruments such as the triangle, conga, crash, cymbals, cowbell and bell chimes. It looked fun, when I was up there preparing for my first run-through. Finally, I thought, I'd have the chance to play in something big and be part of the song.

In the end, I struggled to keep up. The beat was so confusing. I couldn't keep count and lost track from the very beginning. I missed all the cues for the bell chime. Thank God it was only a run-through, I had thought. Ms Dunstan suggested I try the conga, which is like the drums they play in reggae. You know those tall tubes with cow-hide on the top?

The beat again, was too fast. I practiced in an hour and managed to learn it. I was so confident about it, that I thought I'd do fine. The part was a solo with Nom, who would play the drum kit.

The time came, when people started entering the sports centre (which was where the event was held). I played in the Jazz Band at the beginning. Making only a few mistakes, and feeling good about the rest of the parts I played, I happily walked around talking with people I recognised in the area.

Mr Wilson Santa Claus tha SuGa DaDdY!

The "Three Blind Whites"
( [from left] Unknown man, Another unknown man & Mr Hughes)

When the Senior Concert Band were up, I managed to pull off the bell chimes and triangle. The Conga never made it. I tried, but made a fool of myself when I couldn't keep up. I never got a signal in the first place anyway.

Combined bands playing carols. I'm playing auxiliary percussion on the left of this picture.
Somewhere!

And in the endend, I stayed on to play in the combined Senior Choir, Senior Concert and Intermediate Concert Bands performance for the carol service. I stayed in the auxiliary percussion section, where all I did was play the triangle and a bit of the cymbals. It was fun, but very tiring. Indeed! Holding a triangle for a long duration of time can be tiring. I did alot of improvising with the instruments, playing with different sounds during times. Like I said, it was fun.

I'm back in the boarding house, without my friends (No Nommy. No Kwannn. No Jude) in the dark. I'm going to hit the sheets early tonight. There's no point staying up without anything good or interesting to do.

I think I'll join the Senior Concert Band and their percussion group. I'll do auxiliary. It's pretty easy. I can do it. Yea yea.

Tomorrow, hopefully I can shop a bit. I haven't spoiled myself in a long time, and I think it's about time. It's the end of the year. Heck, it's the end of my Stage 5 days! (Stage 5 is Year 9 and 10 together) I'll be in Stage 6 next year. That's when the big dogs are let loose.

I might as well enjoy my days before then to the highest rank.
I'm off to listen to Star Wars music, and then fall asleep.

Cheers.
PS. I've been suffering from this back and neck pain. I think it's when I sit down, that it hurts so much. I could do with a massage.
